The Interesting Occurrences

  1. The mustard seed. If you watched before the kickoff, there was a passionate speech by Greg Coleman about how there will be a great team effort to pick up the slack after losing Bridgewater. He said there was only a mustard seed size of hope needed, and showed a vial with a seed it in. Paul Allen did NOT seem impressed or moved by the talk.
  2. Obadiah was in attendance. By now, Vikings fans know all about Obadiah Gamble. The young man who sang “Hey Teddy!” and released a video with his musical prayer for the quarterback tweeted a photo of himself at the game with the words “@teddyb_h2o you’re here with us in spirit, friend. Get better!”
  3. It is no nice not to hear about THAT 49ers QB. If you’re a football fan, you’ve been bombarded by takes about Kaepernick. Whether you agree or disagree with his actions and reasoning behind them, the one thing that is for certain is that it is fantastic not to have that kind of drama added to the situations in Minnesota.
  4. Shaun Hill is not Kurt Warner…but I get the comparison. A backup is coming in to a starting position at quarterback following an injury on a team with a lot of talent. But the comparisons need to stop between these two men since Hill is a known commodity. He could shock the world and show something new, but that’s highly doubtful.
  5. Fan support is still amazing. The crowd was still there and they were loud, rowdy, and fun. The Minnesota Vikings fan base has always been strong and kept the faith, even when things were bleak. Once the team was on the field, fans didn’t miss a beat in cheering on the boys in purple!
