#5: Containing Mariota

Marcus Mariota is one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the NFL. While he isn’t often mentioned among the best in the league, a lack of talent around him and playing in a smaller market has made him more of a secret star.

Now, he’s got some quality players with him on offense. The Titans added former NFL leading rusher DeMarco Murray, drafted power back Derrick Henry, and used their 1st and 6th round picks in the draft on offensive linemen.

Mariota can do several different things well. He’s got the arm strength to make any throw on the field and can use his legs to escape just about any situation that he finds himself in. All of this adds to a much better situation for the Titans quarterback this year than the previous campaign.

When you consider that the Vikings have struggled in the past against mobile quarterbacks, this containing him and Murray in the backfield should be the top priority for Minnesota. But that will be no easy task.
