Who will be on the field for the Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers during the week 3 NFL matchup? Here is the full injury report for the game!

The NFL can be a brutal place. With how physical games can be in the trenches and the enormous amount of wear and tear the game of football puts on the human body, many players don’t make it through the entire 16 game regular season of the NFL. That is the case with the Minnesota Vikings as well.

This week, the Vikings are traveling to North Carolina to take on the Carolina Panthers. Both teams are struggling to push through some big injuries to important players, but that doesn’t mean the two squads will be anything less than the absolute best they can be on the field on Sunday, September 25, 2016.

Today, the final injury report was released on NFL.com leading into Sunday’s games. Some names on the list that are listed as questionable or out could play heavily into the outcome of the contest, so let’s take a look at the injuries starting with the Vikings.

Minnesota Vikings Injury Report

Ruled Out

  • Sharrif Floyd, DT – Knee

Questionable

  • MyCole Pruitt, TE – Knee
  • Xavier Rhodes, CB – Knee

Did Not Practice But Is Expected To Play

  • Stefon Diggs

Upgraded To Full Participation In Practice

  • Danielle Hunter, DE
  • Eric Kendricks, LB
  • Zach Line, FB
  • Jerick McKinnon, RB
  • Kyle Rudolph, TE

Of course, it’s great to see all the players who were upgraded to full participants in practice or are still expected to play against the Panthers. Guys like Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph, and Jerick McKinnon are all very important parts of the team’s offense.

Meanwhile, having Danielle Hunter and Eric Kendricks on defense will be big for the team. Hopefully, cornerback Xavier Rhodes will be able to join a defense that will need to be at their best against Carolina.

Carolina Panthers Injury Report

Ruled out

  • Jonathan Stewart, RB – Hamstring

Doubtful

  • Jeremy Cash, LB – Hamstring

Questionable

  • Kawann Short, DT – Shoulder
  • Trai Turner, G – Ankle

Jonathan Stewart is a big loss for the Panthers, as they will turn to unproven player Cameron Artis-Payne to handle the bulk of the running game against the Vikings. Otherwise, the injury chart for the team doesn’t look too bad for Carolina.

Still, it is never good to see good players sitting on the sidelines.
