Vikings win: 32-10

Ultimately, the Vikings’ dominant defense and safe, consistent offense will prove too much for a J.J. Watt-less Texans team.

On defense, the Vikings have the perfect personnel to match up against the Texans offense. With size and strength, Xavier Rhodes is perfectly built to take on superstar receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and Trae Waynes has the speed and deep coverage ability to neutralize rookie speedster Will Fuller. Combined with a dominant pass rush and two stifling run-stuffers in Linval Joseph and Shamar Stephen to control Lamar Miller, and it’s hard to imagine the Texans getting much yardage.

Even without J.J. Watt, the Texans are very talented on defense, but without significant contributions from the offense expect them to get worn down early as they are forced to stay on the field for long stretches at a time.

If the Minnesota Vikings show up to play, this game should get out of hand early, controlling it from the opening whistle. However, this is the NFL and anything can happen on any given Sunday. Give your WILD predictions in the comments below!
