Let’s play pretend for a minute and say the Minnesota Vikings can select any player they would like with all eight of their draft picks this year.
Despite not having a first-round pick in 2017, the Minnesota Vikings still have eight selections in this year’s seven-round NFL Draft. Vikings general manager Rick Spielman definitely has plenty of opportunities to choose the players he believes will be able to improve the team heading into next season.
As it stands right now, 47 players will be off the draft board when Minnesota is able to make their first pick of 2017 with the 48th overall selection. But what if that were not the case?
What if the Vikings could select any eight players they wanted from this year’s draft class, regardless of where their picks are currently slotted? Would Minnesota just go with the best player available or would they draft based on what position groups of theirs are in need of the most improvement before the 2017 season?
Well let’s have some fun and find out.
