Sixth selection:

Forrest Lamp, OG – Western Kentucky

  • 6-foot-4
  • 309 pounds
  • 225 lb. bench: 34 reps

If anyone watched the Vikings’ offensive line in 2016, then they saw what most fans of the team saw. A whole lot of nothing.

Thankfully, Minnesota’s front office was not too oblivious to the position group’s struggles last year and have been making moves this offseason to improve their protection for 2017. The Vikings have filled their needs on the outside of the offensive line, but the team still has to figure out who will be playing right guard in 2017.

Lamp would likely be an immediate starter and possibly provide Minnesota with some stability on the inside of their offensive line for more than a handful of years. The Vikings would also make a killing off of “I Love Lamp” shirts.
