Week 15: vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Sunday, December 17

Bengals’ 2016 record: 6-9-1

Vikings’ last home win vs. Bengals: 2009

After a week in Charlotte, the Vikings will welcome the Cincinnati Bengals to lovely U.S. Bank Stadium. This will be Mike Zimmer’s first regular season matchup against the Bengals since he left the team to become Minnesota’s head coach in 2014.

It is pretty easy to assume that Zimmer is going to do everything he can to make sure the Vikings do not lose to his former team. But Cincinnati is not about to roll over in this game either. The Bengals are coming off a year in which they missed the playoffs for only the second time since 2009.

The best part of this game could be the potential head-to-head matchup between Cincinnati wide receiver A.J. Green and Minnesota cornerback Xavier Rhodes. Rhodes established himself last year as one of the league’s best shutdown corners, but stopping Green will still be a tough task.
