Gilbert Brown, DT – 1993

Yes, that Gilbert Brown.

The guy that stuffed so many Vikings running backs over the years in his career with the Green Bay Packers was actually drafted by Minnesota. The Vikings selected Brown out of Kansas in the third round back in 1993.

However, he never made it to the regular season as a member of Minnesota’s roster thanks to the belly that eventually made him famous.

Brown apparently reported to Vikings training camp in 1993 a bit heavier than he was during his college days. Minnesota cut the defensive lineman before the start of the regular season and the Packers picked him up shortly after.

He only last 10 seasons with Green Bay, so the Vikings obviously made the right move.
