"With the 128th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select Chase Roullier, center, Wyoming."

After the signing of Mike Remmers and Riley Reiff, the team seems to feel confident about its options at offensive tackle. Those two will be penciled in as starters, along with Rashod Hill and T.J. Clemmings as their backups. The franchise is still searching for someone to fill the vacancy at right guard after the losses of Mike Harris and Brandon Fusco.

He’s been a hidden gem to this point, but Wyoming’s Chase Roullier is a solid prospect. Finishing ranked as Pro Football Focus’ highest ranked guard in 2015, he made an easy transition to center in 2016. While the success and results weren’t as great, he still went on to have a solid season.

How does he fit into the depth chart? Roullier would immediately provide the Vikings with a developmental piece at center or guard, whichever position they decide to start him off as. His most natural position is right guard as he’s had much more success there, but don’t rule him out providing competition to Nick Easton at center.
