There are a bunch of top talents remaining on the board for the Minnesota Vikings to potentially add to their roster following day one of the 2017 NFL Draft.
After going without a pick during the first round of the NFL Draft for the first time since 2010, the Minnesota Vikings will finally get to add some players to their team come Friday on the second day of the 2017 NFL Draft.
There were a few surprises that went down in the first round of this year’s draft and then there was the Chicago Bears just doing normal, confusing Chicago Bears things as well.
For the Vikings, there are still a ton of talented prospects that could be available when it is finally their turn to pick on Friday. Minnesota general manager Rick Spielman could also use some of his extra selections this year to possibly move up in the second round and grab a player they want before some other team does.
Just because the Vikings did not trade into the first round this year, do not doubt for one second that Spielman will not try to wheel and deal to get the best possible player for his team.
So who exactly are the players left on the draft board that could draw the most interest from Minnesota’s front office?
Forrest Lamp, OG – Western Kentucky
Cam Robinson, OT – Alabama
Dalvin Cook, RB – Florida State
Zach Cunningham, LB – Vanderbilt
Malik McDowell, DT – Michigan State
Dan Feeney, OG – Indiana
Budda Baker, FS – Washington
Deshone Kizer, QB – Notre Dame
Sidney Jones, CB – Washington
Chris Wormley, DT – Michigan
Kevin King, CB – Washington
Curtis Samuel, WR – Ohio State
Obi Melifonwu, SS – UConn
Dion Dawkins, OG/OT – Temple
Pat Elflein, C – Ohio State
Larry Ogunjobi, DT – UNC-Charlotte
Alvin Kamara, RB – Tennessee
Ethan Pocic, C – LSU
Zay Jones, WR – East Carolina
As of right now (before Rick decides to get all trade-happy), the Vikings have a total of three selections on day two of the draft. One pick in the second round and two picks in the third.
