The Minnesota Vikings will have seven selections in the final four rounds Saturday on the final day of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Day two of the 2017 NFL Draft has come and gone and the Minnesota Vikings have added two very talented players to their roster.

After trading up in the second round with the Cincinnati Bengals, the Vikings were able to select Florida State running back Dalvin Cook with the 41st overall pick in the draft. With their second selection of the night, Minnesota made a deal with the New York Jets in the third round and picked Ohio State offensive lineman Pat Elflein.

In addition to selecting two players on Friday night, the Vikings also made a bunch of moves to acquire more picks in this year’s draft.

Minnesota agreed to send their second third-round selection (86th overall) of the night to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for the Chiefs’ third (104th), fourth (132nd), and seventh-round (245th) picks. The Vikings then sent their new third-round selection from Kansas City to the San Francisco 49ers and received the 49ers’ fourth (109th) and seventh-round (219th) picks.

So for the final four rounds of the 2017 draft, Minnesota currently has a total of seven selections left to make. Who are some of the best players left on the board that the Vikings could decide to use one of their day three picks on?

  • Jake Butt, TE – Michigan

  • Dorian Johnson, OG – Pittsburgh

  • Desmond King, CB – Iowa

  • Jordan Leggett, TE – Clemson

  • Joshua Dobbs, QB – Tennessee

  • Carl Lawson, DE – Auburn

  • Damontae Kazee, CB – San Diego State

  • Jaleel Johnson, DT – Iowa

  • Malachi Dupre, WR – LSU

Look for Minnesota to try and at least add a wide receiver, a tight end, a defensive lineman, and another offensive lineman with their seven selections on Saturday.

Next: Vikings draft offensive lineman in third round

Not sure how he does it almost every year, but Vikings general manager Rick Spielman has acquired a number of extra picks for Minnesota to improve their roster on the last day of the draft. After a good amount of players from their locker room left in free agency this year, the Vikings now have the ammunition to make up for their losses this offseason.
