Some day three trades resulted in the Minnesota Vikings having two picks in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

After using their fourth pick of the 2017 NFL Draft on former Michigan linebacker Ben Gedeon, the Minnesota Vikings traded out of the fourth round and acquired two selections in this year’s fifth round thanks to the Kansas City Chiefs.

With the 170th overall pick in the fifth round, the Vikings decided to take South Florida wide receiver Rodney Adams.

Adams is a little on the smaller side (6-foot-1, 189 pounds), but he does have some great speed (4.4 40-yard dash time). Could be a candidate to fill Minnesota’s open spot at kick returner for 2017.

Later in the fifth round, Minnesota selected Miami offensive lineman Danny Isidora with the 180th overall selection.

Isidora was a starter at guard on Miami’s offensive line for the past two full seasons. At 6-foot-3, 306 pounds, he could eventually be the Vikings starting right guard within the next few years.

The selection of Isidora is the latest in Minnesota’s overhaul of their offensive line this offseason. After how poorly this unit played last year, it is not a surprise.
