Dates and times finalized for the Minnesota Vikings’ 2017 preseason schedule
By Adam Patrick
The NFL has released the official dates and times for each team’s preseason schedule this summer, including the four games the Minnesota Vikings are set to play.
This upcoming preseason will definitely not be the first for the Minnesota Vikings that does not include Adrian Peterson in their offensive huddle. But this year, his absence will actually be due the running back no longer being apart of the franchise as he is now a member of the New Orleans Saints.
For the Vikings’ four preseason games this summer, it will be their first opportunity to test out an offensive that does not revolve around the skills of Peterson. Will the offense attempt to be more centered around a west coast passing attack or will the team try and keep the mix of run and pass plays fairly equal?
Well whatever they decide, Minnesota’s first opportunity to implement some of their new methods will come against the Buffalo Bills on August 10 at Buffalo’s New Era Field. The official date and time for this matchup, as well as the Vikings’ three other preseason games, was released by the NFL on Tuesday.

Under head coach Mike Zimmer, Minnesota has been one of the best teams in the preseason. Since 2014, the Vikings have won 12 of their 13 preseason games with Zimmer on the sidelines.

Winning a ton of games in the preseason is fun and all, but they mean absolutely nothing. So Minnesota will be hoping to experience some similar success during the games that actually mean something in the regular season this year as well.
