Latavius Murray, RB

Minnesota knew it had to take the necessary steps to improve their awful rushing offense from a season ago and they went out and signed one of the top free-agent running backs on the market this offseason in Murray.

In the last two years with the Oakland Raiders, Murray averaged 4.4 yards per touch and scored a total of 18 touchdowns. Combined with the versatility of Jerick McKinnon and rookie Dalvin Cook, Murray will bring power and provide the Vikings with a bruising rushing attack when necessary.

He is also skilled in the area of pass protection, something Minnesota could have definitely used more of last season. The Vikings were able to sign Murray to a very team-friendly contract that they can easily opt out of if 2017 ends up not going according to plan, so it was a risk they had no problem taking.

Think Matt Asiata, but way, way better.
