Dalvin Cook, RB

Running back may not have been the Vikings’ biggest need heading into the 2017 NFL Draft, but Minnesota could not resist letting Cook slip from their grasp when they saw the opportunity to take him off the board.

With one franchise running back in Adrian Peterson no longer with the team, the Vikings may have already found the team’s next great running back in Cook. Despite getting drafted in the second round, numerous NFL writers and analysts are predicting that the young Minnesota running back could still win the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award this season.

Given Cook’s exceptional talent and the Vikings’ current uncertainty when it comes to who will be featured in their backfield this year, it is not hard to see why many think the rookie can make an immediate impact for Minnesota.

At Florida State, Cook was a walking highlight-reel and the Vikings are hoping he will continue to create those jaw-dropping plays in a purple uniform.
