The rookie running back talked about his upcoming season with the Minnesota Vikings  during a radio interview on Thursday.

Dalvin Cook has not even been a member of the Minnesota Vikings for an entire month, but the anticipation to see him take the field in 2017 continues to grow at a rapid rate.

This weekend, the Vikings’ rookie running back will be representing the team at the NFLPA’s annual Rookie Premiere event in Beverly Hills, California. Cook will be one of 40 rookies from around the NFL that will be attending the event.

It is an event mainly for potential sponsors to scope out which rookies from this year’s class would be a good fit to promote their products.

Cook was already in town on Thursday and was a guest on the SiriusXM NFL Radio show Movin’ The Chains. The running back did not say anything too crazy, but he did emphasize the fact that he is very happy to land in Minnesota and that he expects a lot out of himself during his first season with the team.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding Cook and the potential impact he could have with the Vikings almost immediately in 2017. But even the running back knows he has a lot of work to do before the season begins.

Next: What will McKinnon's role be in 2017?

He is clearly eager to learn from his teammates and do whatever he can to get better out on the field. So that should bode pretty well for Minnesota in 2017.
