Analyst predicts Peterson will outrush the Vikings’ backs in 2017
Fox Sports’ Peter Schrager made a very bold prediction for Adrian Peterson next season that involves the Minnesota Vikings.
The long break up between the Minnesota Vikings and running back Adrian Peterson is finally over. The tough part about this break up for the Vikings is that Peterson stayed in the NFC and he plays Minnesota during week one of the 2017 NFL season.
After seeing what Peterson was able to accomplish after injuring his knee in 2011, Vikings fans are holding their breath. He came back in 2012 with a fierce attitude and almost broke the single-season NFL rushing record. Peterson is a player that is hard to stop when he is determined.
This upcoming season Peterson has a few reasons to be upset with a handful of teams. Many teams passed on signing the veteran running back during free agency, including the Vikings and the Seattle Seahawks.
Fox Sports’ Peter Schrager recently made a prediction that Peterson will outperform those teams that passed up on him.
"“I believe Adrian Peterson is going to have more rushing yards and touchdowns than anyone on the Vikings, his former team, or the Seahawks, who passed on signing him. I think he is going to make these guys pay.”"
This prediction is not that ridiculous based on his reasoning. People who oppose this prediction feel that he is too old now and has slowed down. He is being compared to Emmitt Smith playing for the Arizona Cardinals after his career with Dallas Cowboys.
Schrager continued about Peterson.
"“I think he is one of the rare guys, I remember Tomlinson going to the Jets had a nice year that first year. Thomas Jones on the Bears had a nice year the first year there.”"
Peterson has displayed before that he is completely different from any running back to ever play the game. That is what makes this prediction somewhat in line.

If there is ever going to be a running back to put up big numbers at 32-years-old, Adrian Peterson is the guy to bet on.
