The Minnesota Vikings did their annual playground build, this time helping out the students of Cedar Park Elementary School to have a place to play.
When it comes to traditions, the Minnesota Vikings have some of the best in the NFL. One of the most popular is the annual playground build, where players, cheerleaders, and others associated with the team help to construct a playground at a Minnesota school.
This year, the school chosen was Cedar Park Elementary School in Apple Valley, Minnesota. The team arrived on Thursday, June 1, 2017 to interact with the kids and help build a place to bring enjoyment to the students for many years.
Here is a video from WCCO CBS Minnesota as shared on their official website showing some of the Minnesota Vikings players at work and spending time with the students:
Of course, the biggest attraction at the playground build was quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. In the video, kids seem to flock to his genuine smile and positive nature while working on this project. He was asked questions about his knee, but instead wanted to talk about the playground build instead.
On the website of the Star Tribune, another video was shared highlighting the event. Although that video is not able to be shared, it features a wider variety of activities as well as players at the build.
The playground itself is designed from drawings submitted by the school prior to being chosen for the build, making the final result even more special for Cedar Park Elementary School in Apple Valley.

Once again, the Minnesota Vikings should be commended for this project. this is the 12th playground build the team has completed and hopefully many more will be in the future for schools in need of assistance.
