Following the Minnesota Vikings recently extending the contract of Everson Griffen, which players on their current roster will be the next to sign an extension?

Wednesday was a good day for Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen. Entering his eighth season with the Vikings, Griffen will now be under contract with Minnesota until 2023 after signing a four-year $58 million contract extension on Wednesday.

Back in 2014, it was tight end Kyle Rudolph who agreed on an extension with the Vikings. Then last year it was Harrison Smith.

During the last handful of offseasons, Minnesota has placed an emphasis on extending the contracts of some of their most talented draft selections. Griffen was actually one of the first to start the trend back in 2014 when he signed a five-year $42.5 million extension despite only starting one game in his first four seasons with the Vikings.

Now that the defensive end’s future with Minnesota is pretty much settled, which players on the Vikings’ current roster will be the next to sign a lucrative contract extension like their teammate?
