Evan Cohen of SiriusXM Radio recently proclaimed that the Minnesota Vikings should try and shop their young quarterback for a late-round draft pick.
Following the upcoming season, the Minnesota Vikings are likely going to have a tough decision to make about the future of their quarterback position. Sam Bradford is currently scheduled to be a free-agent in 2018 and Teddy Bridgewater could also be a free-agent next offseason if his contract does not toll this year.
Since we are currently in the day and age where people like to speak nonsense just to get a few more views or a few more clicks, some people have been debating whether or not the Vikings should trade Bridgewater despite the fact that he has not yet been medically cleared to resume his career on the football field.

The latest gibberish comes from SiriusXM’s Evan Cohen when he recently stated that Bridgewater has likely already played his last down with the Vikings and the team should see what they can get for him in the trade market. Even if they only receive a late-round draft pick in return for the quarterback.
"“At this point, we almost have to assume (Bridgewater) will go another year without playing in the early stages of the prime of his career. Which then means, he’s probably already played his last game as a Minnesota Vikings quarterback. So here’s the idea.If I’m Rick Spielman, the general manager of the Vikings, and I’m looking around the league, there’s other quarterback-strapped teams. This suggestion is wrong in so many ways.
For one, Cohen assumes that if Bridgewater does not play at all in 2017 that he is already done in Minnesota. Except for the minor detail that if he sits out all of this season, his contract will be tolled through 2018.
Secondly, the Vikings are not about to just see if they can get a late-round pick for a guy that has a legitimate chance to be their starter once again in 2018. Suggesting that Minnesota should cut bait with Bridgewater before a Sam Bradford has even thrown a three-yard pass this season certainly is not the smartest of ideas.

Cohen should go back to the drawing board and do a little more than read a player’s Wikipedia before making himself look foolish again in the future.
