Minnesota Vikings player ratings for the Madden 18 video game

Users shouldn’t have much trouble getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks in the latest version of Madden. Surprisingly Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter share the same 86 overall rating. Regardless of who you think should be ranked higher, the combination of power and speed should help you get plenty of sacks. Brian Robinson and Datone Jones offer solid depth at 80 and 76 overall respectively.
Clogging the middle is newly extended defensive tackle Linval Joseph who is arguably underrated at 86 overall but his 97 strength and 86 block shedding should help you stop the run. Partnering Joseph (at least on Madden) is Sharrif Floyd rated respectfully at 83 overall.
Madden’s ratings Czars clearly have no respect for the Minnesota Vikings linebackers with Eric Kendricks the highest rated player at 80 overall. Even though Anthony Barr is coming of an inconsistent season his 79 overall rating seems excessively harsh. Your Chad Greenway replacement options are Emmanuel Lamur (72 overall), Kentrell Brothers (66 overall) and rookie Ben Gedeon (65 overall).
The Minnesota Vikings digital secondary looks set to be able to take advantage of the chaos the defensive line can cause. Xavier Rhodes just misses out on being named one of Madden’s top cornerbacks with his 88 overall rating. With ratings over 90 in speed, acceleration, press, jumping and man coverage Rhodes should shut down most number one receivers. The ageless Terrence Newman is rated 85 overall and whilst he might struggle against fast receivers he is a solid number 2. Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander are both slightly undervalued at 75 and 73 overall respectively but both prospects have digital potential with outstanding physical attributes.
Harrison Smith leads the entire Vikings roster with the team’s highest overall rating of 93 placing him 4th in Madden’s safety rankings. With his 92 hit power Smith should be a joy to control when using the hit stick. Partnering Smith is Andrew Sendejo accurately rated at a mediocre 78 overall.
