Former Minnesota Vikings kicker Morten Andersen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame with the class of 2017 on Saturday, August 5, 2017.
This was a great week for the NFL. While many teams like the Minnesota Vikings were working on wrapping up training camp and preparing for the preseason, other events like the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game and the enshrinement of legendary players into the Hall of Fame.
Among those who made the cut for the 2017 Hall of Fame class is kicker Morten Andersen, who spent 25 years in the league with 5 different franchises and set numerous records which still stand to this day.
Fans of the Vikings were lucky to have the services of Andersen for one season of his career. During the 2004 campaign he served as Minnesota’s kicker, connecting on 18 of his 22 field goal attempts and made all 45 extra point attempts.
