Members of the Minnesota Vikings’ defense will get their first opportunity to impress the coaching staff this preseason when they go up against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.

Defensively, the Minnesota Vikings had one of the best units in the entire NFL last season. The majority of the players that made up last year’s defense have returned for 2017, so the Vikings should be able to continue their high level of play on the defensive side of the ball.

This preseason for Minnesota will mostly be about figuring out the depth on their defense. A few of their younger defenders made a bit of noise during training camp, but how will that translate to actual game action?

Thursday against the Buffalo Bills will be the first chance for some members of the Vikings’ defense to prove just how valuable they are to this year’s team. So which players on Minnesota’s defense should people be focusing on the most in Buffalo?
