When Alexander was drafted in 2016, almost everyone assumed he would takeover as Minnesota’s nickel corner once Captain Munnerlyn was off the roster. Everyone except for Alexander.
The young cornerback was not happy about the team wanting him to cover receivers in the slot and admitted this offseason that his willingness to do so was not the greatest.

But this year, Alexander is embracing his spot on the Vikings’ defense and is preparing to takeover Munnerlyn’s duties as the team’s nickel corner. Against the Bills on Thursday, Minnesota will get to see just how prepared Alexander is for his role this season.
