Vikings offense grade: C-

The first team offense led by Sam Bradford looked like the same offense a year ago. Offense line not opening holes for the running back, giving up sacks and dink and dunk passes. The first team offense only had one first down, two sacks given up and a penalty that wiped out a first down.

During training camp there was talk about the Vikings pushing the ball down the field but they didn’t show that with the first team offense. The longest pass came from Case Keenum to Stacy Coley for 38 yards. The longest pass from Sam Bradford was a 9-yard pass to Delvin Cook.

However, the Vikings offense started to click more in the second half as Case Keenum and Taylor Heinicke both led scoring drives. Keenum and Heinicke are battling for the back-up QB job. Keenum looked sharper last night going 11-16 for 121 yards while Heinicke went 3-8 with 1 touchdown and 1 interception.

The rookies on offense who had stood out were Dalvin Cook, Rodeny Adams and Stacy Coley. Cook touched the ball 9 times (5 runs and 4 catches) for a total of 43 yards. Stacey Cole had 3 catches for 68 yards including a 38 and 24 yard catches. Rodney Adams had 2 catches for 12 yards and 1 touchdown.
