Vikings special teams grade: B

The best unit for the Vikings all night might have been their special teams. The kicker competition between Kai Forbath and Marshall Koehn stayed close as both of them hit their extra point oppurtunity. Forbath got the only chance for a field goal which he made from 36 yards out.

The punt game was also very strong last night has the Vikings had 4 punts inside the 20 yard line. Taylor Symmank had 5 punts with his longest of 60 yards. Ryan Quigley had 2 punts with his longest punt of 45 yards.

The only real negative from the special teams came when Rodney Adams dropped a punt. The Vikings would recover the fumble but it was a mistake on Adams part and should have called a fair catch or let the ball bounce.

But for the most part the special teams played a clean and decent game. It was the Vikings strong point for the night as they pinned the Bills deep and converted every kick.
