With Michael Floyd suspended for the Vikings’ first four games of the upcoming regular season, Minnesota is looking for a receiver to take his place on the active roster while he serves his punishment. Coley is one of the pass catchers in contention to land Floyd’s open spot along with fellow receivers Rodney Adams, Issac Freuchte and Cayleb Jones.

Against Buffalo last Thursday, Coley separated himself from the pack with an impressive performance during his time on the field. The rookie receiver finished with three catches for 67 yards in the Vikings’ win over the Bills, including a nice catch-and-run that resulted in a 38-yard gain.

Despite Adams finding the end zone on Thursday, Coley appears to have the edge in becoming Minnesota’a fifth receiver to open the regular season.
