In: Taylor Symmank, P

In an attempt to make his first NFL roster, Symmank looked impressive at times last Thursday.

His first punt was a booming 60-yarder that landed inside the Bills’ 10-yard line. Symmank’s next punt was not as great as it only traveled 31 yards, but his next two landed within 10 yards of Buffalo’s end zone.

His competition, Ryan Quigley, was more consistent with his punts in Buffalo (46, 31, and 45 yards), but Symmank clearly has the stronger leg of the two. Barring a string of horrible performances from him during Minnesota’s next three preseason games, the job should be Symmank’s when the team reveals their regular season roster.
