It was not an impressive outing for the starters of the Minnesota Vikings, but their backups showed up on Sunday night to get a preseason win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Typically, the third week of the preseason is known as the “dress rehearsal” for each NFL team. Hopefully this is not the case for the Minnesota Vikings, as their offensive and defensive starters put on a less than impressive performance during their Week 3 preseason matchup with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
The Vikings were able to walk out of the building with a win, but that was thanks to the play of their backups, who put up all 32 of their points on the board against the 49ers.
There is definitely a lot to take away from Minnesota’s win on Sunday. Some good, some bad, and some even a little interesting.
