Cornerbacks

CB1: Xavier Rhodes

CB2: Trae Waynes

CB3: Tramaine Brock

CB4: Terence Newman

CB5: Mackensie Alexander

CB6: Marcus Sherels

Minnesota was obviously not comfortable with the way Alexander was playing in the preseason and went out and acquired Brock from the Seattle Seahawks. He may miss a few games due to a suspension to begin the year, but Brock is an immediate upgrade over Alexander in the slot for the Vikings this season.

Safeties

FS: Harrison Smith

SS: Andrew Sendejo

Reserves:

Anthony Harris

Antone Exum

Jayron Kearse

In a bit of a surprise decision, the Vikings opted to keep five safeties on their roster this year. Smith will continue to be a beast all over the field, but things will begin to get a little scary for Minnesota if he ends up getting hurt at some point this season.
