With Dalvin Cook now lost for the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL, Minnesota will likely be turning to Murray to take over the role as the team’s primary ball-carrier this year. Luckily for the Vikings, Murray has plenty of experience as a starting NFL running back.

Before signing with Minnesota this offseason, Murray was a member of the Oakland Raiders. While in Oakland, the running back started 31 games, scored 20 touchdowns, and averaged 4.6 yards per touch.

Murray should have some good opportunities to make plays this week against the Bears. So far this season, Chicago’s defense has given up an average of 105.3 total yards and one touchdown per game to opposing running backs.
