The Bad Things vs Chicago

  1. Sam Bradford’s first quarter. Five pass attempts. One completion. NEGATIVE five yards. ZERO first downs. And that’s not all. He held onto the ball for what felt like an eternity in the end zone, resulting in an easy sack for the Bears. A brutal start to the game from a guy who was supposed to give a start.
  2. Tramaine Brock. What the heck? Missed tackles and penalties seem to be all this guy brings to the table, which is disappointing because Minnesota really wanted him on their roster. So far, not so good for the man the Vikings traded for to struggle on special teams.
  3. Special teams. Falling for a fake punt and fumbling on a kickoff return happen, but these kinds of errors have been happening far too often to the Vikings lately. They need to clean up this phase of the game in order to win the field position battle.
  4. PENALTIES! Having a Vikings team with so many mental errors is absolutely not acceptable. When Mike Zimmer calls a timeout to yell at his players and there is still no discipline at all, that starts to land on the coaching staff no matter how strict the refs are calling the game.
  5. That whole first half. Essentially, all Minnesota Vikings fans likely want to forget everything that happened in the first half. For them to put on that kind of performance on Monday Night Football is actually kind of embarrassing. Thankfully, the second half found the Vikings much better offensively.
