Minnesota Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon scored a touchdown on a screen from Case Keenum early in the second quarter against the Green Bay Packers in Week 6.
The Minnesota Vikings were in desperate need of big plays to defeat their NFC North rivals the Green Bay Packers during Week 6 of the 2017 NFL season on October 15, 2017 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Thankfully, a Vikings running back stepped up in a big way early in the second quarter of the game, finding a way to scamper into the end zone and give Minnesota the first score of the game and a 7-0 lead.
Here is the Jerick McKinnon touchdown as shared on the official Twitter account of the Minnesota Vikings:
From 27 yards out, the Vikings, center Pat Elflein snaps the ball to quarterback Case Keenum. Dropping back, offensive linemen move to block out in front of the running back while Packers defenders close in.
Keenum drops the pass off to Jerick McKinnon, who gains some yardage with plenty of green in front of him. Following his blockers, “Jet” weaved in and out of the defense staying away from all the defenders.
After all the weaving and dodging, the running back made his way to the endzone for the score. With high knees in the end zone and a celebration with Blake “The Belldozer” Bell, the Vikings took an early lead.

There seems to be a nice connection between Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum and running back Jerick McKinnon. Hopefully, passes like this will be a regular part of the team’s attack going forward.
