Jordan Schmidt:

Redskins win 23-17

The Minnesota Vikings are coming off their bye week to face a tough Washington Redskins team that just beat the Seattle Seahawks on the road. Vikings quarterback Case Keenum will get the start after all the talk about starting Teddy Bridgewater.

Keenum will face a Redskins’ defense that has their number one cornerback back in Josh Norman. He is a shutdown corner who will matchup against Stefon Diggs, taking away the deep threat for Minnesota.

The Vikings’ defense will keep the game close but will give up 20 points for just the second time this season. The defense faces their toughest quarterback since Matthew Stafford back in Week 4.

Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins as nice set of weapons that could create problems for Minnesota. The Redskins have two solid tight ends and an emerging wide receiver. The Vikings’ defense will be led by defensive end Everson Griffen, who will add two more sacks to his season total, but won’t be enough.

The game is going to be close, but in the end Minnesota won’t have enough offense to get the job done on the road.
