Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen had a monster game on Sunday during his team’s big win over the Washington Redskins.
It is very hard to disagree that no player on the Minnesota Vikings roster this season has been more consistent than wide receiver Adam Thielen. In his fourth year on the Vikings’ active roster, Thielen is arguably the most vital part of their offense in 2017.
On Sunday, the Minnesota receiver exploded for another big-time performance and helped lead the team to a 38-30 win over the Washington Redskins. With the victory, the Vikings are now 7-2 this season and tied for the second-best record in the NFL.
Against the Redskins, it look little while for Thielen to get going. But once he did, Washington’s defense had no answer for the Minnesota receiver.
Early in the second quarter, Thielen caught a short pass from Vikings quarterback Case Keenum and proceeded to take it down the field for a gain of 38 yards. The play resulted in Minnesota getting in great position to score and score is what they did when Keenum found fellow Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs five plays later for a three-yard touchdown.
On Minnesota’s very next offensive drive, Thielen cranked it up into high-gear and hauled in three more passes for 62 yards and one touchdown. A score that resulted in the latest creative end zone celebration from the Vikings’ offense.
When the game clock finally struck zero, Thielen finished with a total of eight catches for 166 yards and one touchdown. His yardage total is the second-highest amount the receiver has ever finished a game with during his young NFL career.

With the total he gained on Sunday, Thielen now has 793 receiving yards for the year and only needs 207 more over the next seven games to become the first Minnesota pass-catcher since 2009 to gain at least 1,000 receiving yards in a season.
