The Viking Age’s own Adam Patrick and co-host Tyler Haag go over the Minnesota Vikings most recent win in Week 11 and preview their upcoming Thanksgiving day showdown.

What a season it has already been for the Minnesota Vikings. 2017 has been filled with the ups of the team winning eight of their first ten games and the downs of losing vital players to serious injuries.

Now with six straight wins, the Vikings’ chance of making it into the postseason is all but a guarantee. Where they will end up getting seeded remains the question to be answered.

On this week’s episode of the Bleeding Purple Podcast, myself and fellow co-host Tyler Haag talked Minnesota’s Week 11 victory over the Los Angeles Rams and looked ahead to the Vikings’ upcoming matchup on Thursday against the Detroit Lions. We also found some time to talk about a few other Vikings-related topics including…

  • The Vikings have a really, really (really) good defense
  • Anthony Harris stepping up against the Rams
  • Is the Vikings’ defense comparable to the 2000 Baltimore Ravens?
  • Kai Forbath’s kicking troubles
  • The Greg Olsen “controversy”
  • Should Case Keenum be the starter for the rest of the season?
  • The Minnesota offensive linemen have been doing some serious work this year
  • Adam Thielen is aying at an All-Pro level
  • How much better are the Vikings since the last time they played the Lions?
  • Pat Shurmur will be a head coach next year
  • Are the 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers the best comparison to this year’s Vikings?
  • Case Keenum is not Kurt Warner
  • Predicting scores for the Vikings’ Week 12 matchup with the Lions
