During his Monday press conference with the local media, the Minnesota Vikings head coach was clearly ticked off when asked about who the team’s starting quarterback currently is.

Mondays after a loss are no fun for any team in the NFL and this is not something the Minnesota Vikings have experienced a whole bunch during the 2017 season. Needless to say, there were not as many smiling faces at the Vikings’ facility on Monday following the team’s Week 14 loss to the Carolina Panthers as there have been during the past few weeks.

Being that Minnesota ending up on the losing side of the scoreboard is not something that has happened a whole lot in 2017, the team’s players and coaches have not really had to answer any questions recently about what went wrong or what lead to a certain loss.

For the most part, everyone seemed to face the music and talk about what happened on Sunday in Carolina in a fairly calm manner. Even Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer stood at the podium during his Monday press conference and answered a bunch of questions about subjects he likely had very little interest in discussing.

Zimmer was pretty much his normal self for most of his presser on Monday, except for when the Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson decided to ask the head coach to clarify if Case Keenum would remain Minnesota’s starting quarterback for the remainder of the season.

"“You guys keep asking me this. I never said Sam Bradford is our starter for the season. I never said Joe Berger is our starter for the season. I’ve never said Pat Elflein is our starter for the season. So I’m not going to say it. Clear enough?”"

It is very clear that Zimmer is tired of being asked about who his starting quarterback is this season and he probably thought he was already done answering these questions after Keenum helped the Vikings win eight games in a row.

To Tomasson’s defense, there were a few whispers swirling around the internet on Monday regarding Minnesota starting Teddy Bridgewater under center next week, but obviously they were nothing more than rumors.

After Zimmer’s answer this week, it seems safe to say that no one will be asking about who the Vikings’ starting starting quarterback will be anymore this year. Unless they actually enjoy getting scolded by the head coach.
