The Viking Age’s Adam Patrick and Tyler Haag chat about the Minnesota Vikings winning the NFC North and look ahead to Saturday’s matchup with the Green Bay Packers.

What a week it was for fans of the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings captured the NFC North crown after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday, Teddy Bridgewater returned to the field for the first time since the 2015 season, and the Green Bay Packers were eliminated from playoff contention.

Two weeks remain in the 2017 regular season and Minnesota is continuing to fight for the top seed in the NFC playoffs. There is still a chance that the Vikings could play every postseason game at home in U.S. Bank Stadium, including if they make it all the way to Super Bowl 52.

On this week’s episode of the Bleeding Purple Podcast, myself and Tyler Haag (who is also the newest member of The Viking Age’s staff) talked about a variety of Vikings and NFL-related topics including…

  • The Vikings easy win over the Bengals
  • Cutting onions during Teddy’s return
  • It’s okay to root for Case AND Teddy
  • Teddy to start in Week 17?
  • Is home-field advantage essential for the Vikings?
  • McKinnon has been great this year
  • Could Pat Shurmur possibly stay next year?
  • Aaron Rodgers looked real bad in Week 15
  • The Lions still have a good shot at the playoffs
  • Xavier Rhodes claimed another victim
  • Vikings vs. Packers predictions
  • Does the NFL want the Vikings to play in a home Super Bowl?
  • We still don’t know what a catch is
  • Return of the XFL?
  • Vikings playoff scenarios
