Away at Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks missed out on the playoffs for the first time since 2011 and for the first time in Russell Wilson’s career.

This came despite a truly extraordinary season from Wilson who, for my money, is the MVP of the league. With the “Legion of Boom” decimated by injuries, Wilson carried his team to within shouting distance of the playoffs. And if it wasn’t for Blair Walsh (HAHAHAHAHA!), they would’ve snuck into the Wild Card round almost exclusively on the efforts of their unconventional but otherworldly QB.

Every true Vikings’ fan has the last meeting with Seattle seared onto their memories like a drunken tattoo.  No need to revisit such solemn moments during what should be a joyous chapter of the team’s history.

There’re reports that Seattle’s core may finally be feeling the pressure of timeinjuries, and the salary cap. It’ll be interesting to see what this team looks like in August. But one thing football fans have come to understand over the last half decade: never count out Russel Wilson and the “12th man.”
