Griffin Nelson:

Vikings win 23-17

This is easily the game of the week, and should be an absolute barnburner. Most of the conversation surrounding the matchup this week has been fixated on how different this game sets up from the Week 1 matchup.

The Saints boast a much more balanced offensive attack, featuring rookie standout Alvin Kamara and veteran stud Mark Ingram as the catalysts for the run game. The Vikings lost their own stud rookie running back Dalvin Cook earlier this season and quarterback Sam Bradford, who tore New Orleans’ secondary to shreds in September, will possibly backup current starter, Case Keenum, on Sunday.

However, I’d like to focus on the constants.

The bedlam of U.S. Bank Stadium has been a chaotic environment for opposing teams to operate within throughout the season. It promises to act as that and more this weekend.

The same defense that shut down Saints quarterback Drew Brees and company over four months ago is still perfectly intact. The consistencies outweigh the contrarieties, in my opinion.

I’m incredibly biased, but I’m allowed to be.
