The Minnesota Vikings announced which players would not be suiting up for their divisional round playoff matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Saturday saw the Minnesota Vikings activate quarterback Sam Bradford for the first time since being placed on injured reserve in November. Well, it appears Bradford will actually be suiting up for the Vikings when they take on the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs on Sunday.
Minnesota revealed their inactives prior to Sunday’s postseason matchup and Bradford is not among them. Instead, the quarterback will be the backup for Case Keenum against the Saints and Teddy Bridgewater will not be suiting up at all.
Aside from Bridgewater, the Vikings’ inactives for Sunday consisted of six more players.
- Kyle Sloter, QB
- Stacy Coley, WR
- Mack Brown, RB
- Tashawn Bower, DE
- Cornelius Edison, C
- Danny Isidora, OG
In addition to Bradford being named the team’s backup quarterback against New Orleans, Minnesota will also feature a brand new combination of blockers up front on their offensive line. Mike Remmers will be starting the day as the Vikings’ left guard while Rashod Hill will be Minnesota’s starting right tackle against the Saints.

Cornerback Terence Newman was the only player to appear on the Vikings’ final injury report on Friday with a foot injury and he will be active on Sunday. Other than players that have already been placed on injured reserve, Minnesota will not be without anyone on the field against the Saints due to injury.
