It seems likely that the Vikings will name a member of their current coaching staff the team’s new offensive coordinator next season. But if they don’t, Boras could emerge as Minnesota’s guy.

Currently, Boras is the tight ends coach for the Buffalo Bills. But a chance to be an offensive coordinator once again might be enough to get him to come to the Vikings.

Boras has been coaching in the NFL since 2004 and he was actually in charge of the offense for the Los Angeles Rams when Case Keenum was a member of the franchise from 2015 to 2016.

In 13 games with Boras as his offensive coordinator, Keenum completed 62 percent of his passes while throwing 12 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and averaged 220 passing yards per matchup. The quarterback’s numbers were nothing to celebrate about, but he was also in an offense that featured Tavon Austin as one of its top receivers.
