The latest odds from Bovada have the Minnesota Vikings as the favorite to land quarterback Kirk Cousins this offseason.

Less than a month ago, the New York Jets were the team with the best odds to sign free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins this year according to Bovada.

As of Wednesday, Bovada’s odds for the Cousins Sweepstakes now have a new leader. It is none other than the Minnesota Vikings.

According to the Las Vegas-based gambling website, the Vikings have the best chance to sign Cousins this offseason with 2-to-5 odds. The Jets are now second with 333-to-100 odds, the Denver Broncos and their 4-to-1 odds are third, and the Arizona Cardinals are the fourth and final team listed with odds of 15-to-1.

To put this in terms that would help those who are unfamiliar with the gambling world and what these odds actually mean, Bovada currently has Minnesota with a 71.43 percent chance to land the free-agent quarterback this year. Cousins coming to New York now only has a 23.09 percent shot to happen.

Over 70 percent seems like a good indication that the quarterback has a more-than-decent chance to sign with the Vikings this offseason.

Now would not be a good time to bet on Cousins going to Minnesota due to the team’s odds being so high. If someone were to wager $100 on the Vikings signing the free-agent quarterback, they would only win $40 more.

But if a $100 bet were placed on Minnesota back in February, it would result in a $1,000 reward if Cousins does indeed sign with the purple and gold.
