The Minnesota Vikings announced three transactions including the signing of TE Josiah Price and LS Nick Dooley and release of LB Shaan Washington.
It’s that time of year where teams like the Minnesota Vikings will be making numerous transactions to bring as much talent as possible into training camp in hopes of finding talented players to put on their 53-man roster or develop on their practice squad.
The Vikings announced on their official Twitter account that the franchise has signed two players to the team’s roster while releasing one individual who had previously spent time with Minnesota.
One player joining the team is tight end Josiah Price. Price was an undrafted free agent last season who was with Minnesota during training camp but was released during the team’s final roster cuts. He holds the MSU record for touchdown catches by a tight end.
The other player who is joining the team is long snapper Nick Dooley. Out of Texas-El Paso, he was another player who came to Minnesota’s minicamp last year but ended up being released in favor of Kevin McDermott.
The release of linebacker Shaan Washington is a little bit of a surprise since he spent time with the Vikings on injured reserve after being an undrafted free agent last year. However, this opens up more spots for the team to look at other free agents.
