The Salvation Army North was the beneficiary of a charity autograph signing event featuring Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer and FanHQ.
On Friday, March 16, 2018, the Minnesota Vikings were busy working out a deal to bring defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson to the team and had recently brought Kirk Cousins to the team in free agency.
However, Coach Zimmer wasn’t done there. That night the head coach of the Vikings attended a charitable autograph signing event hosted by FanHQ with the proceeds going to The Salvation Army North.
The Mike Zimmer Foundation was in full effect at the Eden Prairie event, with not only Mike in attendance but also his daughter Corri and his son Adam on hand to make sure the autograph signing went smoothly.
That wasn’t much of a concern since FanHQ is well known for their ability to run excellent events featuring some of the top players from the Minnesota sports teams lending their ink and signatures to fans.

According to the official website of the Minnesota Vikings, Zimmer not only was raising money for charity but thanking fans and the community for everything they have done for his family and team.
"“Number one, the fans have been great to me – all the people in Minnesota and the Twin Cities in general.I think we’re all very fortunate to do what we do, and to have the opportunity to raise money for the kids here. The more that we can do, the better we feel about it.”"
The event raised approximately $9,000 for The Salvation Army North, blasting far past the goal of $5,000 that was previously set. The sold-out event was a massive success and was his second annual appearance with FanHQ.
