Former Minnesota Vikings Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will be facing off on Sunday in New Orleans, Louisiana at WrestleMania 34

Each and every year since 1985, thousands of WWE fans come together to witness the greatest spectacle in professional wrestling known as WrestleMania.

On Sunday, the 34th annual WrestleMania will be taking place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. There are a number of matches featured on this year’s card and one of the event’s most intriguing will have two former Minnesota Vikings in a showdown for the Universal Championship.

Current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will be looking to retain his title in a matchup against Roman Reigns. Both are former Vikings defensive linemen.

Lesnar famously spent a preseason with Minnesota back in 2004 after his first retirement from WWE. He failed to make the regular season roster as a defensive tackle and his brief time with the Vikings was more known for the fights he caused on the field more than anything else.

Reigns, whose real name is Joe Anoa’i, spent a small amount of time with Minnesota in 2007, when the team signed him as an undrafted free-agent defensive tackle out of Georgia Tech. He was released by the Vikings less than a month after joining the team.

The two former Minnesota defensive lineman have never faced each other in a singles-match with a championship on the line before. However, Sunday’s showdown will be the fourth straight year in which Reigns will be taking part in a championship match at WrestleMania.

The event is set to begin at 7 p.m. EST and will be available to stream on the WWE Network.
