As they did with Dallas Goedert, the Vikings have already met with Fumagalli this offseason. So the interest from Minnesota is definitely there.

But that is where the similarities between the two tight ends comes to a close. Unlike Goedert, Fumagalli is more of a traditional tight end.

He’s an above average blocker and he gets open when needed. Fumagalli excels more at the intermediate routes than anything else. He didn’t catch a single pass over 20 yards in all of 2017.

When he does get the ball in his hands, don’t expect him to go and run people over for more yards. During his entire career at Wisconsin (47 games), Fumagalli only forced a total of four missed tackles.

The former Wisconsin tight end could be an option for the Vikings to select with one of their three picks in the sixth round this year.
