Former Vikings legend to announce the team’s second-round draft pick

At the 2018 NFL Draft, former defensive tackle Keith Millard will have the honor of announcing the second round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings.

The 2018 NFL Draft is only one week away and fans everywhere are wondering which players will land with the Minnesota Vikings and other teams throughout the seven rounds of the major media event.

Day two of the draft will feature rounds 2 and 3, where 64 collegiate athletes will find out which team they will be suiting up for. Plus, there will be special guests on hand on the draft stage to reveal who the pick is.

For Minnesota, that individual is a former defensive tackle. Check out the tweet announcing Keith Millard as the individual honored to announce the Vikings second-round pick at the 2018 NFL Draft (slated to be #62 overall) from his official Twitter account:

Keith Millard was a member of the Minnesota Vikings from 1985–1991 after being a first-round draft pick in 1984 out of Washington State. Over his career, he tallied two Pro Bowl nods and four All-Pro appearances, earning the Defensive Player of the Year award in 1989.

Being chosen to announce the Vikings second-round draft pick on Friday, April 27, 2018 is an honor for Millard, who spoke about his presence at the event on Twitter.

"“Very excited and honored to represent the Vikings, to announce our 2nd round draft choice at the NFL Draft in Dallas, Very honored!”"

Knowing how important the NFL Draft is to the young men in attendance, Millard recalls the experience he had out of college when his name was called and is thrilled to be part of that

"“Such an exciting time for these college players. You work your whole life for that moment to hear your name called. Excited to be a part of it”"
