A mock draft from Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer has the Minnesota Vikings selecting Oklahoma’s Orlando Brown in the second round on Friday.
After the first round on Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings now have seven selections remaining in the 2018 NFL Draft. The second and third rounds will take place on Friday night and the Vikings have a pick in each of these rounds.
As for who Minnesota might select with the 62nd overall pick in the second round, at least one person believes the team could add an offensive lineman.
Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer posted a round two mock draft on Friday and he thinks that the Vikings will select Oklahoma offensive tackle Orlando Brown. Breer also explained that he almost ended up going in a different direction for Minnesota.

Brown would definitely be a good addition to the Vikings’ offensive line. Prior to the NFL Scouting Combine last March, the former Oklahoma blocker was believed to have first round potential.
But a poor showing at the combine where he only put up 14 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press (among other things) made Brown’s draft stock go down.
Despite his poor performance at the combine, the young offensive lineman still has a ton of potential. At 6-foot-8, 345 pounds, Brown certainly has some massive measurables to his advantage.
If Minnesota were to select him on Friday, it’s possible that the team could insert him as their starting right tackle in 2018. But it’s more likely that the Vikings would have Brown sit for a year and work on his flaws before throwing him out in the starting lineup as either their left or right tackle.
