There are some big changes in store for Minnesota Vikings attending the team’s training camp at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center.

In the past, training camp for the Minnesota Vikings was held on the campus of Minnesota State University – Mankato where fans could show up, watch practices, get autographs, participate in fun activities with other fans, and much more.

However, with team’s move to the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center in Eagan, Minnesota, the Vikings are making some changes to how everything will operate for training camp activities.

According to the official website of the Minnesota Vikings, individuals hoping to attend training camp will need to sign up for tickets (with priority going to season ticket holders) and will be limited to approximately 5,000 fans.

The team states they are working on expanding for the highly attended night practices of the team in order to allow more fans to take in the events.

As far as parking and transportation go, the plan is to either designate parking or provide a shuttle to activities to prevent congestion at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center during training camp.

Along with the news about the new ticket system, the team announced some of the dates when players will be reporting to the new Eagan facility.

"“Rookies are scheduled to report on Tuesday, July 24, and practice for the first time on Wednesday, July 25, while veterans are scheduled to report on Friday, July 27, and practice for the first time on Saturday, July 28.”"

These changes seem huge now, but switching over to a ticket based system will keep fans from being turned away at the event and allow for more organization and structure for team-based events.
